Sydney Howard Smith (3 February 1872 in Stroud, Gloucestershire – 27 March 1947 in Stroud) was a British badminton and tennis player.
Sydney Smith was the first All England Badminton men's singles champion in 1900 (in the same year he played in the men's singles at Wimbledon, losing to Reggie Doherty). 1897 – 1906 he was Welsh tennis champion. He and Frank Riseley won the doubles in Wimbledon in 1902 and 1906. In 1905 and 1906 he was member of the British Davis Cup team.
